What’s an IM Shot and How Can It Help Me?An Intramuscular (IM) Shot is an easy way to get the vitamins and minerals your body needs so you can feel your best. Nutrients are injected directly into the bloodstream, they bypass the digestive system and are pushed directly into cells where they can be more effectively utilized by the body. Weekly vitamin shots are an effective way to increase your energy, strengthen your immune system, and promote weight loss. Benefits vary depending on the nutrients you choose. Dripz offer a wide range of IM Shot ingredients that may help the body boost natural defense systems, maximize physical performance, regain focus, manage a healthy weight and support the function of joints and muscles.
-
What’s the Difference Between IM Shots and IV Drips?Great question. Both (IM) Shots and IV Drips deliver essential vitamins and minerals directly to your body. DripzIV Hydration takes around 60-90 minutes depending upon the IV Drip. A tiny catheter is inserted into the vein and vitamins and minerals along with a liter of saline (for hydration) are delivered directly to your bloodstream Dripz Intramuscular (IM) shots deliver vitamins and minerals injected directly into the muscle tissue, where they’re gradually absorbed into the bloodstream. The process only takes around five minutes. Since over 70% of the population are constantly dehydrated, the additional fluids in the IV Dripz are very popular, however many of our customers want a quick IM shot boost due to time.
-
CysteineThe superhero antioxidant. Cysteine’s many benefits include producing healthy skin and hair and boosting the immune system. Cysteine slows down the ageing process by fighting free radicals that damage the body. It is one of the three amino acids that make up glutathione.
-
Glutathione (GSH)This molecule, made up of the amino acids cysteine, glycine and glutamine, is produced naturally by the body and is usually recycled. However, when the body’s toxic load is too great – a problem that is on the rise – our levels can become depleted. The benefits of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant, are becoming increasingly recognised, as it fights the spread of free radicals that cause such damage to the body. Lowered levels of glutathione can lead to a depressed immune system, lowered energy levels and the risk of muscle damage and lengthy recovery times. Studies have clinically proven its value.
-
PhenylalanineAnother essential amino acid, phenylalanine produces tyrosine that is needed to make adrenaline, dopamine and noradrenaline.
-
Amino AcidsOur bodies run on protein made up of amino acids; from the production of blood, tissue, muscle, collagen, hormones, enzymes, antibodies and the chemical messages constantly being sent around the body. There have been 24 main amino acids identified that, in combination, make up tens of thousands of proteins. Some of the most important – arginine, carnitine, cysteine and taurine – have been included in this glossary.
-
SeleniumSelenium is a mineral found in the soil and we gain selenium from a variety of different foods. It is essential for a number of functions in the body from the production of antioxidants and the thyroid hormone and how our metabolism and immune systems works. There are a number of health benefits associated with selenium including building a healthy immune system. It can also reduce oxidative stress through the production of antioxidants, which keeps you looking and feeling young.
-
CarnitineNot technically an amino acid but made up from two essential amino acids, carnitine is mainly found in red meat so vegetarians often suffer from a carnitine deficiency. Stress, over-exercising, being overweight and certain malabsorption conditions can also lead to lowered levels of carnitine. Among other functions, carnitine is invaluable for energy production. Other benefits of carnitine include maintaining the immune system and improving the condition of your skin.
-
MagnesiumAs Registered Nurses, MrandMrsNurse were constantly monitoring Magnesium levels in patients since it is one of the key nutrients needed by the body. Usually gained from a varied diet, lower levels of magnesium in food sources mean that more and more people are experiencing a magnesium deficiency. Other factors such as certain medications, stringent dieting, alcohol abuse or gluten intolerance can all contribute to lowered levels of magnesium. Magnesium is essential for energy production and cell turnover. Boosting your levels of magnesium can benefit production of healthy bones, teeth and heart. It can also help relax muscles and thereby lessen the chance of incurring an athletic injury.
-
GlutamineIts benefits include boosting the immune system and strengthening the intestinal system. Glutamine is an amino acid that makes up the powerful antioxidant glutathione, but also has many important functions of its own, such as regulating blood PH, removing waste products, as well as being an important building block in the production of muscle tissue.
-
CalciumCalcium is everywhere in the body, doing invaluable work keeping it in optimum condition. It is required for strong bones and teeth, necessary for the blood clotting function and helps to keep your heart healthy. If deficient in calcium from diet, the body takes what it needs from your bone reserves which can lead to serious health problems. Calcium works closely with magnesium as they balance each other out and both are necessary for good health.
-
TaurineNot actually an amino acid in itself, taurine is a by-product of two other amino acids. Its benefits include boosting energy levels and improving athletic performance and reaction time, making it very popular with athletes. Taurine also works as a highly effective antioxidant.
-
MethionineAn essential amino acid, methionine contains sulphur and is used to produce glutathione, cysteine, creatine and taurine. These are necessary for all the functions of the body, as well as building strong and healthy tissue and eliminating toxins. Methionine also contributes to the production of collagen, strengthening of muscles and an increase in energy levels.
-
ArginineAn important amino acid that can be produced naturally by the body, but often needs supplementation from diet or intravenous therapy. It performs many vital functions in the body including boosting the immune system, promoting healthy skin, nails and hair with the production of collagen and minimising stress.
-
OrnithineOrnithine is an amino acid which is crucial for the elimination of waste from the body and if this process is compromised it can greatly increase levels of toxicity. This can cause a lack of energy.

6. Why take vitamins by IV rather than orally?Studies show that when we take vitamins orally or eat food approximately 30% is absorbed by the gut. What makes IV nutrition so beneficial is that IV nutrients bypass the gut and allow for 100% absorption. The vitamins and nutrients in our IVs are the highest quality possible.. By taking nutrients through IV, we can reach higher levels in our body and bloodstream. For example, 5 grams of Vitamin C taken orally routinely leads to bowel intolerance and loose stools. But 5 grams of Vitamin C given IV leads to 100% absorption without gastrointestinal side effects. This allows for a higher dosage with more immune-boosting and skin-enhancing power in your body.
-
2. Is IV therapy safe?MrandMrsNurse have treated thousands of people with IV's over the many years. IV’s are safe, common and the risks are extremely low. The minor risk from IV therapy is irritation, inflammation, or bruising of the puncture site, while more serious symptoms would include systemic reactions such as allergies and local thrombosis, but these are very rare despite its possibility of occurrence. Infections can occur when the IV remains in place for days, however your IV therapy will be over in 30 - 90 minutes. Allergic reactions are extremely rare, however that's why its important to have trained, experienced RN's come to your location. MrandMrsNurse is a small owner operated company. We are both Registered Nurses with a wealth of experience (see our profiles) We conduct a thorough screening with clients to help avoid any complications. Please share all pertinent information regarding previous allergic reactions to medications or therapies in the past and/or medications, supplements you are currently taking, because your wellness and safety is our #1 goal. If you're still unsure, check with your current healthcare provider.

1. What is IV Therapy?IV Therapy, also known as intravenous therapy, is the fastest way to deliver nutrients throughout the body, because it bypasses the digestive system and goes directly into the organs, resulting in a 90-100% absorption rate (as opposed to only 20-50% possible orally). This is one of the reasons when you go to a hospital the nurse almost immediately starts an IV on you. Over 78% of the USA population are dehydrated and so IV hydration is fast becoming one of the fastest segments in the healthcare industry... Home Infusion Therapy Market size exceeded USD 23.3 billion in 2020 and is predicted to grow at a CAGR of over 11% between 2021 and 2027. Rapidly increasing demand for infusion devices and rising healthcare spending across the globe are anticipated to stimulate the demand for home infusion therapy.
-
14. Can I use my FSA and HSA account?Great news... IV therapy is eligible to be covered by Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Use those extra dollars anytime, especially at the end of the year. MrandMrsNurse accepts FSA and HSA funds for payment as long as your FSA or HSA card is affiliated with a major credit card. If you would like to use your FSA or HSA card to pay for a portion of your infusion purchase and apply the remaining balance to a different card (or cash), just let us know.
-
7. How long does an IV take to administer? The length of time for your drip will depend on the “cocktail” you select. On average, drips take between 30-90 minutes to infuse. The difference in infusion rate depends on the total fluid volume, size of the vein and your tolerance to the drip rate. Other factors may affect the speed at which we can infuse the fluid. During your infusion you can relax, read, or use your mobile device. We monitor you constantly, and that's one of the reasons clients consider us their #1 concierge service in Florida.

It was in the 1960s, when Dr John Myers first developed a world-famous cocktail of vitamins and minerals, following that, the intravenous vitamin therapy that we know today began to blossom and take shape. IV Therapy is nothing new in the medical community, nor is it a crazy fad that the media would like you to believe. During World War I, IV Therapy became a lifesaving treatment, in fact Medical professionals first attempted injecting medications into veins in the 1600s, but due to poor hygiene, the practice was abandoned.

5. What Is The Process of IV Therapy?A consultation is done to review your history before we even come to your location and our medical directors are available 24-7. We'll bring everything we need. First, the IV placement area will be disinfected using a small alcohol wipe. The process of IV therapy involves placing a small needle into the arm or elsewhere on the body to start the IV and then a plastic straw (catheter) is used to administer the IV treatment. MrandMrsNurse often use lidocaine to numb the area and most clients don't even realize we've started. Once the catheter is in place, the procedure will take between 30-90 minutes. The rate and quantity of intravenous fluid given depends on each client’s medical condition, weight and age. During this time the only thing you need to do is relax, watch TV, read a magazine or even nap.
-
13. What are your payment details? We take all major credit cards as well as cash. Plus you can use your HSA and FSA funds... No checks, please!

-
